My client is a fast paced and progressive global sports media broadcasting company, who are looking for a Senior Performance Media Manager.  As part of a global organisation you will be exposed to and involved in some of the biggest sporting events in the world.  The organisation has recently announced a strategic agreement with one of the most well-known sports leagues and have responsibility for marketing the television and digital rights outside the USA.  Part of this exciting endeavour is to market the digital subscription product in over 100 countries including Brazil, Mexico, Japan and Australia…and this is where you come in!

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be building and creating the subscription engine for the business, this will be internal and external.
  • You should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to see the bigger picture for growth mechanisms, being ‘best in class’ will be at the forefront of your approach to every task.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to provide subject matter expertise and be able to provide deep analysis of media solutions with a strong and clear understanding of the commercials around a subscription business.
  • You will own each media strategy and be able to work collaboratively with external agencies where necessary. This will include marketing analytics and working closely with the Marketing Director to develop a global testing roadmap which ensures continuous improvement. In addition, you will foster relationships with the agencies which allows them to feel like they are part of the team and so they operate to the same high standards you would expect from your internal teams.
  • You will have regular contact with local marketing representatives and will be required to support them of implementation of multi-channel campaigns. You will use your own local knowledge to better the global approach to campaigns and ensure that best practice is being adhered to.
  • The perfect candidate for this role will be all about breaking boundaries. You will be innovative, bring fresh ideas to the table and be focussed on wowing consumers and getting the industry talking.
  • You will be and excellent communicator, you will be responsible for a Performance Media Executive and will be highly visible across the wider group.

What You Need to Have:

  • At least five years’ experience in performance media.
  • You should be commercially astute and have proven ability in managing multi-channel budgets
  • You will be creative, you should be driven by brand building and have the ability to think strategically.
  • You need to have a deep knowledge of SEM, display and have been exposed to DMP’s, marketing tech stack and SEO.
  • You will have an excellent working knowledge of Omniture/Adobe Marketing Cloud and experience in using Google Analytics from set up through to reporting.
  • You need to a strong relationship builder and be comfortable taking the reins. You need to be able to communicate at all levels and be a great influencer.

What Would be Useful         

  • It would be good to be able to provide input on creative development from a local market perspective
  • Ideally you will have experience in working in an environment that has internal product teams in a way that embraces individual momentum rather than process driven group thinking.
  • Agency and client side experience
  • An understanding of VOD and subscription marketing and if you love sport, even better!
